Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this tool, how it works, and privacy.
What is the dividend yield formula?
Dividend yield = (Annual dividend per share ÷ Share price) × 100. For example, a stock trading at $50 with a $2 annual dividend per share gives a 4% yield.
How is annual dividend income calculated?
If you enter your share count, the calculator multiplies the annual dividend per share by the number of shares. For 100 shares with a $2 dividend, the annual income is $200.
Which inputs are accepted?
Enter a share price greater than zero, an annual dividend per share of zero or greater, and an optional share count of zero or more whole shares. Missing or non-numeric entries show a clear error instead of a result.
Do my values stay private, and is this financial advice?
Yes. The calculation and copy action run locally in your browser. CodeASystem does not upload or store the values you enter. This is a general planning estimate, not financial, investment, or tax advice.
