Paver Calculator
Estimate patio pavers and pallets to buy from patio size, paver size, and waste allowance locally in your browser.
Enter the patio size and a single paver size in feet to estimate how many pavers to buy, including a waste allowance for cuts, breakage, and uneven edges. The calculation runs locally in your browser; your values are not uploaded or stored.
Enter paver dimensions in the same unit as the patio; for example, an 8 by 4 inch paver is about 0.67 by 0.33 ft. Check your supplier because paver sizes and pallet counts vary by product. This paver estimate is a planning guide, not a purchase guarantee.
Find how many pavers to buy without uploading anything.
Enter the patio length and width plus a single paver length and width, an optional pavers-per-pallet count, and a waste allowance to see the patio area, paver count, and rounded-up pallet count. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your values are not uploaded or stored.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this tool, how it works, and privacy.
What does the paver calculator show?
Enter the patio length and width, a single paver length and width in the same unit, an optional pavers-per-pallet count, and a waste allowance. The calculator returns the patio area, the paver area, and the paver count with waste rounded up, plus the pallet count when pavers per pallet is given, with the calculation shown. For example, a 12 by 10 ft patio with 0.67 by 0.33 ft pavers and 10% waste needs about 598 pavers, so buy 2 pallets at 300 pavers per pallet.
Which formula does the paver calculator use?
It uses patio area = patio length x patio width, paver area = paver length x paver width, then pavers = patio area / paver area x (1 + waste percent / 100) rounded up, and pallets = pavers / pavers per pallet rounded up. Use the same length unit for the patio and the paver; for example, an 8 by 4 inch paver is about 0.67 by 0.33 ft.
Which inputs are accepted?
Enter a patio length, patio width, paver length, and paver width greater than zero through 1000000000, an optional whole-number pavers-per-pallet count from 1 to 1000000000, and a waste allowance from 0 to 100 percent (blank means 10). Decimal dimensions are accepted. Zero, negative numbers, non-numeric text, and values outside these limits show a clear error instead of a result.
Do my numbers stay private?
Yes. The calculation and copy action run locally in your browser. CodeASystem does not upload or store the values you enter.
