Financial Calculators
SIP Calculator
Estimate how much a systematic investment plan of fixed monthly contributions could grow to over time.
Estimate how much a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) of fixed monthly contributions could grow to over time. Enter your monthly amount, expected annual return, and investment period in years. Everything runs locally in your browser; your values are never uploaded or stored.
Estimates assume each monthly contribution is added at the end of the month and that the return is constant. Real returns vary, and figures are rounded for display, so treat this as a planning guide rather than investment, tax, or financial advice.
Project a monthly investing habit with a SIP estimate.
Enter a fixed monthly contribution, an expected annual return, and an investment period in years. The calculator converts the annual rate to a monthly rate, applies the future value of an ordinary annuity formula, and returns your total invested amount, estimated value, and estimated gain. For example, investing $500 monthly at a 12% expected return for 10 years invests $60,000 and grows to roughly $115,019, a gain of about $55,019. Contributions are assumed at the end of each month and the return is held constant, so real results vary with market conditions; fees, taxes, and inflation are not included. This private browser estimate is for planning only and is not financial, investment, or tax advice. Your values are not uploaded or stored.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this tool, how it works, and privacy.
What does a SIP calculator estimate?
It estimates how much a fixed monthly investment could grow to. Enter your monthly contribution, an expected annual return, and the number of years you plan to invest, then the calculator returns your total invested amount, estimated value, and estimated gain.
Which formula does the SIP calculator use?
It uses the future value of an ordinary annuity: FV = P x [((1 + r/12)^n - 1) / (r/12)], where P is the monthly contribution, r/12 is the monthly rate, and n is the number of months. Contributions are added at the end of each month, and a 0% return simply returns the amount invested.
How accurate is the estimate?
It assumes the same return every month and ignores fees, taxes, and inflation, so actual results will differ as markets move. Use it to compare contribution amounts and time horizons, not to predict a specific return.
Which inputs are accepted?
Monthly investment from above zero up to 100,000,000, expected annual return from 0% to 100%, and an investment period from 0.1 to 100 years. Missing or non-numeric entries show a clear error instead of a result.
Do my contribution and returns leave my browser?
No. The calculation and copy action run locally in your browser. CodeASystem does not upload or store the values you enter.
