Which vector operations are supported?
The calculator supports magnitude, unit vector, dot product, cross product (3D only), addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, angle between vectors, and projection of one vector onto another. All operations work with any dimension except cross product, which requires exactly 3 components.
How do I enter vectors?
Enter vectors as comma-separated numbers, for example "1, 2, 3" for a 3D vector or "5, 12" for a 2D vector. Spaces around commas are optional.
What is the difference between dot product and cross product?
The dot product returns a scalar (number) equal to the sum of component-wise products. The cross product returns a 3D vector perpendicular to both inputs. The cross product is only defined for 3D vectors.
How is the angle between vectors calculated?
The angle uses the formula θ = arccos((A·B) / (|A| × |B|)) and is reported in both radians and degrees. Vectors must have the same dimension and neither can be a zero vector.
