Sum of Cubes Calculator

Calculate the exact sum of cubes from 1 through n using integer arithmetic privately in your browser.

Sum the cubes of integers from 1 through n with exact integer arithmetic. Your data stays in your browser.

Enter a non-negative whole number of up to 100 digits. Use digits only, without commas or exponent notation. Zero returns zero.

Your sum of cubes will appear here.

Square a triangular number to sum consecutive cubes.

The sum of the cubes of integers from 1 through n is 1³ + 2³ + … + n³ = [n × (n + 1) ÷ 2]². First calculate the nth triangular number, then square it. For n = 3, the sum is 1 + 8 + 27 = 36, which equals (3 × 4 ÷ 2)². For n = 10 the sum is 3025. Zero returns the empty sum of zero. Enter a non-negative upper limit using up to 100 digits; leading zeros and surrounding whitespace are accepted. Negative values, decimal points, separators and scientific notation are rejected. BigInt arithmetic preserves every digit without iterating through the terms. This tool sums consecutive integer cubes starting at 1; it does not sum an arbitrary dataset or calculate a sum of squares. All processing stays in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this tool, how it works, and privacy.

What is the formula for the sum of cubes?

For non-negative integer n, the sum from 1³ through n³ is [n × (n + 1) ÷ 2]², the square of the nth triangular number.

What is the sum of the first ten cubes?

The sum is 3025: the first ten integers sum to 55, and 55 squared is 3025.

What happens when n is zero?

There are no positive integer terms to add, so the empty sum is zero.

Which inputs are accepted?

Enter 1 to 100 digits for a non-negative whole upper limit. Leading zeros are accepted; signs, decimals, commas and scientific notation are rejected.

Are large results exact and private?

Yes. The calculator uses browser BigInt arithmetic and a closed formula, so large integer results remain exact without uploading the input.
