Power Calculator
Calculate base raised to an exponent locally in your browser.
Enter a base from -1000000 to 1000000 and an exponent from -1000 to 1000. For example, 2 to the power of 10 is 1024. The calculation runs locally in your browser; your values are not uploaded or stored.
Find a power without uploading anything.
Enter a base from -1000000 to 1000000 and an exponent from -1000 to 1000 to see base raised to that exponent. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your values are not uploaded or stored.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this tool, how it works, and privacy.
What is a power?
A power multiplies a base by itself a given number of times. For example, 2 to the power of 10 means 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 1024. A negative exponent means the reciprocal: 2^-2 = 1 / (2^2) = 0.25.
What does the power calculator show?
Enter a base from -1000000 to 1000000 and an exponent from -1000 to 1000. The calculator returns base raised to that exponent. For example, 2^10 gives 1024, while 9^0.5 gives 3.
Which inputs are accepted?
Enter a base from -1000000 to 1000000 and an exponent from -1000 to 1000. Decimal values are accepted. Zero to the power of zero, zero to a negative exponent, and a negative base with a fractional exponent show a clear error instead of a result, as do powers too large to display safely.
Do my numbers stay private?
Yes. The calculation and copy action run locally in your browser. CodeASystem does not upload or store the values you enter.
