What does the final grade calculator show?
Enter your current grade from 0 to 100, the final exam weight from 0 (exclusive) to 100 (exclusive), and the overall grade you want from 0 to 100. The calculator returns the final exam score you need with the calculation shown. For example, a current grade of 85 with a 30% final and a desired grade of 90 needs 101.666666666667% on the final, which is out of reach.
Which formula does the final grade calculator use?
It uses required final = (desired grade minus current grade times (1 minus final weight)) divided by final weight, with the weight as a fraction. A result of 0 or less means the desired grade is already secured, and a result above 100 means it is out of reach with these numbers.
Which inputs are accepted?
Enter a current grade from 0 to 100, a final exam weight greater than 0 and less than 100, and a desired overall grade from 0 to 100. Decimal values are accepted. Non-numeric text, empty fields, and values outside these ranges show a clear error instead of a result.
