AOV Calculator

Enter total revenue and the number of orders from the same period. The calculator returns the average order value (total revenue divided by the order count) and shows the calculation behind it. For example, revenue of 10000 across 250 orders gives an average order value of 40.00. An optional target AOV also shows the revenue that period would need to reach that target.

AOV = total revenue divided by number of orders. To reach a target AOV, the required revenue equals the target AOV multiplied by the number of orders, and the gap is that figure minus current revenue. Average order value measures the average amount spent per order, so it moves with pricing, bundling, and cross-selling rather than with traffic alone.

Enter total revenue from 0 through 1000000000000, a whole number of orders from 1 through 1000000000, and an optional target AOV from greater than zero through 1000000000. Decimal values are accepted for revenue and target AOV. Negative revenue, zero or fractional orders, non-numeric text, and values outside these limits show a clear error instead of a result.
